  1. Dear Uber,

    I would like to appeal against the termination of my agreement under section 14.c of the Driver Terms on health grounds. I have been a loyal partner of Uber and have successfully completed over four thousand trips over one and a half years with high ratings.

    I recall having a conversation with a representative of the company in relation to the complaint that I did not fully wear a mask and I said that I always wear a mask. Sometimes this drops down due to a poor fit and my breathing issues. I have a medical condition called Acute sinusitis and Allergic rhinitis (see medical letter). The last point may not be been communicated properly as I was driving to see my family, so due to the traffic noise I did not hear the representative properly and don’t fully recall the whole conversation.

    If you have a copy of the conversation could you please email it to me so I can clarify the points or we can arrange a time speak again when I am not driving.

    Please see attached medical note from my doctor showing my medical issues. I spoke to my doctor and he said he is happy to give you a detailed explanation of this condition in writing if there is anything specific you need to know and the impact of me working with you.

    Please note I know the seriousness of the Corona Virus as I regularly clean my car during the day. I have elderly parents that I live with and am very cautious about my health in relation to catching and infecting others.

    Lastly please note this is my livelihood and I have three young children, a spouse and elderly parents who are dependent on my sole earnings as a driver. Uber is the only app that gives me the number jobs I need to earn a decent living at the same time give me flexibility to take care of my family.

Uber eats may say is more than 48hs since the order but this term and condition is ILLEGAL and falls under Consumers ACT 2015: A term which has the object or effect of inappropriately excluding or limiting the legal rights of the consumer in relation to the trader or another party in the event of total or partial non-performance or inadequate performance by the trader of any of the contractual obligations, including the option of offsetting a debt owed to the trader against any claim which the consumer may have against the trader. Good luck, I’ve been scammed by them twice and no more, the drivers faked the deliveries.

  6. I would like to make a complaint. I have had multiple issues with Uber Deliveries that I have complained. Last night I had a message saying because of all the complaints I had I’d made they could not honour my complaint last night. I ordered from McDonalds last night and we were missing our drinks/ice cream
    1 large chocolate milkshake,
    1 large strawberry milkshake,
    1 large Oasis drink, a children’s happy meal Tropicana and a Maltesers McFlurry. I do not feel like that is fair, you’re in essence stealing my money. I called Mc-Donald’s themselves and they explain that the driver had not picked up our drinks/ice cream and they tried to stop him but he just drove off. This is unacceptable and I am not happy about this, if this is not dealt with appropriately and promptly I will making sure I tell my family friends and everyone else I can not to ever deal with you.

  8. Hi, I am not sure who will be seeing this but i am hoping someone in Uber will see this. I started working for Uber Eats in March and have not been paid once even though My account is set to weekly payments. I have sent countless messages every week and had no success. I am constantly being told I have been paid when I haven’t. I sent bank statements but no one follows up or seems interested in helping. Most people who respond just seem interested in closing Helpdesk tickets. I now cannot trade as I have not any income. I am not sure how to refer to Uber as the service other than I have received has been appalling. I’d like to get back to delivering but need to get paid. Any help/guidance would be appreciated

    I would like to share my concern, awful experience and impropriate behaviour  one of your drivers. I’ve never met so aggressive person in your company. We are talking here about yesterdays trip from Bedminster to Filton. Obviously according to uber app we didn’t finish our journey. Let me explain what happened. This guy to whom you are giving job and representing Uber two times missed our pick up point (literally, we were waving on him) but in the sametime. He wrote two times to the chat  ‘I’ve arrived’ and I replied two times ‘Nonsense’. When he arrived from the begging was so temped and his language was aggressive. As we politely tried to tell him that he missed us. I smelled bit alcohol from him. He couldn’t accept his mistake and just say I am so sorry. Apparently he turned the way speaking that its our mistake. He felt insulted and he was pushing us to apologize to him. In that time he stopped car in front of Asda and without our sorry won’t be driving. Which is absolutely unaccaptable for me as customer, who is spending my own money. After we said to him sorry we could continue in our journey… but from that moment he was warning probably in every second sentence that he will drop us anywhere with using rude language.So my friend bit pushed to his shoulder and asked him stop the car we are leaving. 
    After that that driver still didn’t cancelled my journey… still taking my hard earned money. He moved probably 200 meters and was pretending how he is working. No he absolutely knew, what he is doing. In the end he called police which he tried only cover his failure. He realized that. 
    I am really disappointed firstly that you are switching my account and secondly that your priority is not happy customer. Unfortunately, I’ve to spare my experience. Till this time I was your pleased customer.
    Right know its making my life more and more complicated because your employee didn’t his job properly.

  18. My son has had money totally to around £38 taken from his bank account for food he has not ordered. His last order, as shown on his account, was 07/06/21, yet money was taken 14, 17, 21 of the same month. Could this be investigated please.

  19. Uber your customer service is one of the worst ones I’ve ever experienced. I lost an item, called the support immediately asking to be connected with the driver. I was told that this is impossible and was sent out to the police. I finally got through the driver the next day just to find out that yes the item was found but another customer took it with him.
    I reported it to the Police but it took you over a month to respond to them. Then you refused to provide the details. You directed the Police officer to the driver who didn’t even respond.
    Now I’m £130 out of pocket because your drivers are handing out lost property to whoever. This means if you lose a phone in an Uber car an @Uber driver will just let you take it.
    I spent over 3h on the phone trying to resolve this issue with no luck. Hence now I will take it to the internet.
    Rest assured that I will never again use Drive with Uber you’re not the only company providing this service now. You call yourself a community but your company is a joke. You don’t even provide a reference number for complaints.
    They protect criminals under a data protection blanket. Even Police are having a hard time any information from them.
    I really hope they’ll go bust soon.

    My uber account got shut coz of improper use, its alright still .The question I want to ask yous why was you not paying me when I was working , I tried 100 times to send you the account statement, this & that, but nothing still not getting paid, it’s like chatting with some robot answer machine over the emails. It was frustrating, not getting paid for a job you done already, because, of paper work has to match to another, why you ask some many verification, when the account is running already & the account was already verified, just some unnecessary things, Even if its 1 pound, if you work and don’t get paid, its peak, work is work. You work, you habe to get paid on time, as far as i know this is not work experience or voluntary job uno. So i didn’t get paid, even till now, so I had to Eat some of the food, to be honest the food tasted even more better mostly. I felt a little bit bad for the customers who was waiting for their food, they were maybe hungry & angry but if they phoned back they can get their food redelivered by other drivers. So it was calm.
    But I had to get my moneyworth back one way or another. I wasn’t working for free or something uber eats, if I wanted to do some volunteer work for free I would have signed up for some charity somewhere voluntary.
    So was alright working with yous still, if you change your mind and activate my account in the future, I’m happy to jump back in as long as im getting paid correctly & you don’t mess with the payments,

  22. I had been a delivery partner for 3 years with Uber and had a customer satisfaction rating of 95%. My account was terminated in September with the reason eventually given that I had “incorrectly used the app”.

    I had many problems prior to this following Uber’s failure too ok administer my account correctly after I had tried to change my vehicle type. The failure was acknowledged in an email by your Support section. I also had issues with the app as it is not configured correctly for iPhone users making it impossible to obtain details about the delivery destination, the affect of this was that I had to accept orders blindly and therefore could not plan accordingly. After raising the complaint and being ignored or dismissed with scripted emails, my account was terminated with no notice given. Added to this, I was also forced to pay motorbike insurance despite a request I had sent last October to return my account to bicycle usage. I have queried these issues and have sent numerous emails to try and find resolution, however I have not had a sufficient response, I have not been given sufficient reasons for the closure of my account and I have received no compensatory payment for the maladministration of my account.

    I really would like to have my account reactivated but have lost hope that Uber are able to treat it’s partners with decency and respect. I write this in the hope that someone will prove me wrong and restore my faith.

    I look forward to a personalised reply, that looks into the details properly and am hoping that I will not be ignored or dismissed again.

Went to pick up order at subway greatwestern Rd assistant told me that it would take a while to prepare called uber support to let them know and to see if I would be paid for waiting as they didn’t want me to cancel the order as it was a large one £83 si I waited 45 minutes then delivered the order then spent another 25 minutes on phone to support again as I didn’t get pin number from customer after that I was paid£3 for delivery what a joke no wonder drivers are leaving just getting robbed by uber

  25. Uber Eats Driver Support is Absolutely pathetic. They have no clue what they are doing or saying. Replies are very late and most of the time automated. No one actually understands the Issue of the driver. If someone gets stuck it will be stuck for months!
    No call option for delivery drivers so they can get help or advise from support. Text messages are not good enough for everything.
    I can’t go online for God knows what reason.
    I can’t get paid because bank details are not verified yet. And its been almost a month.

  32. My perfectly valid statements of business account have not been approved over and over again on the accounts of my name not being on the statement. Even bank has said they don’t understand this as all of my documents are perfectly valid. Uber support hasn’t replied in days upon days, phone lines are unreachable.     I have sent multiple message regarding this order from the KFC on missing 4 x sides and cold food received. As this was unsafe to eat l had to dispose the food. I have contacted the manager at KFC restaurant to give them opportunity to collect the cold food and replace with full order and warm food as full bill paid.
    I have mentioned the cost for full order is £34.75 and to be refunded £1.20 is unacceptable and unfairly dealt with.

    My name is Ruman Ahmed. I’m one of your regular customer at Argos. I’m really disappointed and very upset the way your manager behaved and refused to do refund on my item. I have a purchased an item from beckton Argos on 10/01/2023 at 10.53 and it was a” karcher window vacuum.” When I got home I have noticed it was damaged and used so I have decide to take back to the store after few hrs on the same day.
    There was a lady at the till her name was Sam. When I have explained to Sam, she said yes sometimes it does happen. So she went to yeh back to cheek with a manager her name was IBS. She was very rude and straight way said I’m sorry I cannot take this product back. I had my receipt with me so I don’t understand why would she not take it back. Anyway when I asked for a Store Manager IBS and Sam said there are no Store manager and they don’t know when Store Manager is going to be in? That’s very strange, how can store not aware when Store manager is going to be in? Sam also confirmed to myself that Store Manager works only 1/3 weeks. Than I thought they both doesn’t not make any sense, I was very disappointed about that whole situation, I left the store, because I did not want to create a scene. I think because I had a bread on that’s why they treated me like that. I had by receipt if you want I can email it to you. I was going to call Customer Service but they both were very rude and very loud. IBS and Sam keep saying to myself sorry nothing will happen. We made our decision. They both work for the company and they need to follow company’s produce. If I had my receipt and I have returned the item within 7/8 hrs because it’s faulty and damaged, than why would both say no????? Is it because I’m Asian and I had beard oil?

    Can someone please look into this and get back to me. All I wanted I refund and I would not go back to they Store again. I have already purchased this item from Amazon and were cheaper.

    I recently left my house and car keys in one of your cars and despite being told more than once that the driver had found them I cannot seem to get them back. I have had numerous conversations with the office and they confirmed they were found by the driver but I still can’t get in touch with him to get them back after 10+ calls and messages. As I’m sure you can imagine this is very worrying. Please can someone help?

  58. Please be careful when using Uber. We were charged a fee for “cleaning” the next day….no cleaning was required and Uber provided FALSE photo evidence. The complaint/dispute is being handled terribly but we will not give up!

    I’m writing to vent my absolute frustration and irritation over an incredibly infuriating experience with your service. Honestly, the entire situation has been nothing short of a fiasco, and the HORRIBLE response from your customer service has only fuelled my aggravation.

    On 23/12/23, at 17:51, I placed a grocery order through Uber Eats for delivery from Coop with a set delivery time of 18:16. Shockingly, the delivery never showed up. Despite waiting outside in the freezing cold five minutes before the supposed delivery time, the Uber Eats app heartlessly claimed that the items had been delivered.
    The NERVE of your driver to insist they waited for me for 7 minutes is absolutely maddening. It’s a BLATANT LIE, and I won’t stand for such dishonesty. I was punctually waiting at the specified location, and my residence, equipped with a perfectly functional doorbell, was more than ready to receive the delivery.
    I immediately contacted your so-called “customer service” to report this egregious error. Not only was there no proof provided by the driver of their supposed delivery attempt, but your customer service team responded with an unacceptable level of apathy. It’s abundantly clear that there’s a complete lack of accountability and integrity within your system.
    The unlawful deduction of £41.28 from my account is more than just a financial inconvenience; it’s an outright SCAM. I’m beyond willing, very willing to pursue LEGAL ACTIONS if this sum isn’t promptly returned. I demand immediate restitution for the unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and absolute circus that I’ve been subjected to.
    (I am taking it this far as this is not the first time where things are being handled like this by Uber Eat. I have people who had similar experience and if necessary, I will get them to share their experience and make a written complaint as well).
    I expect this matter to be treated with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. If my concerns aren’t addressed within 30 days from the date of this letter, rest assured, legal action will be taken without further warning.
    Your immediate attention to this matter is not just a courtesy; it’s a requirement. I anticipate a swift response outlining the concrete steps you’ll be taking to clean up this ridiculous mess.

  62. I have been systematically barred from using my ubereats delivery account and cannot get any sensible human assistance from any uber app related source. I have continously posting my situation on the in app help chat only to be given mixed responses to begin with a very vague one stating that my app is active and all I have to do is go to ‘contracts’ on the uber eats partner app and read and agree to the terms and conditions seen, however, it is only a downloadable document with absolutely no links or areas on it to agree to anything whatsoever. And now finally after several re explanations on the same help chat, I am now being told to re submit my verification documents and do a selfie. There is no human intervention whatsoever as ALL lines associated with uber eats claim that you must have an on going order to speak to anyone. I have completed ALL OF THE NECESSARY TASKS INCLUDING SUBMITTING MY IDENTITY INFORMATION. I have deleted and re downloaded the app several times, also logged in and out several times. I see this barring as being systematically done amidst my identity information maybe being manipulated or mishandled in any way. But whatever is happening of which I am not privy to knowing based on the companies avoidance of addressing diverse issues outside of their routine chat box vague solutions, it is not something that is beneficial to a person such as myself.

    On Sunday 28/01/24 one of your drivers delivered me my takeaway (KFC), when he arrived I noticed my keys in the door and decided to take them, I have him on my door bell camera looking at the keys looking around and placing his right hand on them, I only became aware of my keys being gone when he came back 10 minutes later and opened my car using the car keys which then my car lights came on,
    I rang up the customer service and reported this, I got told it has been escalated and I would get a call back within 8 to 10 hours, on Monday I called back asking what’s going on and spoke to the manager all he said was I had to wait 24-48 hours for a response which is different from what the guy said the day before, I also took the day of from work as I had no keys and for the security of my family had to change front door locks and keys, I also had to get an auto locksmith to reprogram my car codes and get new car keys which wasn’t cheap, this paid of though as the driver returned Monday night 29/01/24 and attempted to enter my car but the alarm went of and he ran, when I got to the window me and my wife sore him driving of on his moped, I have informed the police on both occasions and they have logged it all give me a crime reference number, on Tuesday called back to update your customer service team that he came back the night before, it’s now Friday 02/02/24 and I have had no response, I’m looking for answer and also want some sort of response.

    My Account has been on temporarily on hold due to Sterling background check I have sent a valid DBS via text Message help centre.they haven’t deactivate my account still am waiting. Also they kept Message me the same thing all the time saying I need to contact Sterling.
